Law and Social Networks in Late Antique Aphrodite

The center questions of the research project involve law as a tool of social regulation. By analyzing the social networks of actors visible in the archive of Dioskoros undertaking various legal activities, we want to see to what extent private and public relations can influence the formation of legal devices and the legal solutions adopted on both local and state levels.
